BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Browns coach Eric Mangini still hasn’t picked a starting quarterback.
Mangini has not committed to a starter for Sunday’s game against New England. Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are not practicing Monday as they recover from high ankle sprains. Mangini hopes both will return Wednesday. He said Wallace is further along than Delhomme, who sprained his ankle in the season opener and re-injured it Oct. 10.
Rookie quarterback Colt McCoy has looked impressive in two road starts, and remains a possibility to face the Patriots.
Mangini says he will base his decision on who gives his team the best chance to win. He said he has not yet discussed the quarterback situation with Browns President Mike Holmgren.
