CINCINNATI (AP) – The Bengals expect cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones to come back after surgery for a herniated disk in his neck.
They sure could use him this week.
Jones went on injured reserve Tuesday with the neck injury, suffered during a loss in Atlanta on Sunday. His agent tells The Associated Press that doctors have recommended surgery. The cornerback is getting another opinion, but an operation is likely.
Coach Marvin Lewis said on Wednesday that Jones could be ready to play next season. He’s under contract for one more year.
Three other Bengals cornerbacks missed practice with injuries on Wednesday. The Bengals play Miami on Sunday.
