SEATTLE (AP) – Seahawks rookie left tackle Russell Okung was taken to the Seattle locker room in the first quarter with a left ankle injury on Sunday.
The Seahawks said he would not return. Tyler Polumbus took his spot on Seattle’s offensive line.
Okung, the sixth overall pick in the April draft out of Oklahoma State, was rolled up on during a 2-yard run by Marshawn Lynch. On the backside of the play, tight end Chris Baker fell and rolled into Okung’s left ankle.
Okung stood up and called for trainers who helped him off the field. He looked discouraged when talking with trainers on the sideline and rode in a cart back to the locker room.
Okung already missed Seattle’s first three games this season with a right high-ankle sprain from in the preseason.
