CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – The San Francisco 49ers will have cornerback Nate Clements against Carolina after he was questionable with an ankle injury.
Reserve tight end Delanie Walker was also active despite a sore ankle.
The Panthers had newly acquired receiver Devin Thomas and rookie Armanti Edwards on the inactive list Sunday with Steve Smith healthy after missing a game with a high ankle sprain. It left Carolina with just three active receivers as Matt Moore returns as the starting quarterback.
Carolina remained without right tackle Jeff Otah and linebacker Jamar Williams because of injuries.
The 49ers were without center Eric Heitmann, who has a neck injury.
