ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – Tim Tebow is officially someone defensive coordinators have to plan for now.
The Denver Broncos rookie quarterback is coming off his most significant action as a pro, eight Wildcat snaps last week against the New York Jets, including his first NFL touchdown run.
Before that, the two-time national champion and former Heisman Trophy winner at Florida had only made a cameo appearance in the Broncos’ opener at Jacksonville, his hometown, where he ran twice for 2 yards.
Oakland coach Tom Cable said he expects to see Tebow take at least a handful of snaps Sunday in place of starter Kyle Orton when the Raiders renew their rivalry with the Broncos.
The big question now is: When will Tebow throw his first pass as a pro?
