STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES – With a win, Washington would match its total of four last season. … Although allowing league-worst 420 yards per game, Redskins rank 14th in points allowed per game (19.8) and hold opponents to 35-percent conversion rate (28-80) on third downs. … With 11 takeaways and six giveaways, Washington tied for fifth with plus-5 turnover margin. … Redskins lead league with five completions of at least 50 yards. … Washington ranks third in NFL in kickoff return average allowed (17.4 yards). … New Redskins coach Mike Shanahan is from suburban Franklin Park and Donovan McNabb from Chicago. It will also be homecoming of sorts for backup QB Rex Grossman, former Bears starter. … McNabb, sixth in NFL with 1,561 yards, has won four of five starts in Chicago. … RB Ryan Torain rushed for career-high 100 yards and two TDs last week, making him first Redskin in 13 games – since Ladell Betts had 114 against Denver on Nov. 15 – to reach 100-yard mark.
