CINCINNATI (AP) – Chad Ochocinco has gotten some of the Atlanta Falcons riled up, just as he intended.
The Bengals receiver decided over the bye week that he needed to get back to talking trash and trying to back it up. The Bengals (2-3) are struggling, and Ochocinco thinks it’s time for some bravado. He says he shipped something to the Falcons defensive backs – T-shirts supposedly – to get them revved for their game Sunday in Atlanta.
The Falcons say they haven’t gotten the shirts yet, but receiver Roddy White is already angry. He says Ochocinco is being disrespectful.
Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer will be returning to Atlanta for the first time since 2007, when head coach Bobby Petrino quit during the season to coach Arkansas. Zimmer lashed out at Petrino on Wednesday, calling him cowardly and gutless.
