JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – With starter David Garrard and backup Trent Edwards both injured, the Jacksonville Jaguars are bringing back veteran quarterback Todd Bouman.
The Jaguars re-signed Bouman on Tuesday and released safety Gerald Alexander.
Garrard left Monday night’s 30-3 loss against Tennessee with a concussion in the second quarter, and Edwards injured his right thumb while playing the rest of the game.
Coach Jack Del Rio said on his weekly radio show that “there’s a strong possibility we won’t have either guy” during practice Wednesday.
Bouman was released Oct. 5 after spending two weeks on the active roster following a season-ending injury to backup Luke McCown.
