OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) – Once the Baltimore Ravens got past the disappointment of losing in overtime at New England, they realized their position in the AFC playoff picture had not radically changed.
Despite blowing a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 23-20 defeat, the Ravens (4-2) are still on course to reach the postseason for a third straight season.
After a difficult six-week stretch that included road games against the New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers and Patriots, Baltimore is only a half-game out of first place in the AFC North and tied for the fourth-best record in the conference.
Coach John Harbaugh reminded his players of that Monday, telling them to focus on the big picture.
The Ravens face the winless Buffalo Bills at home Sunday before heading into a bye week.
