ST. LOUIS (AP) – The St. Louis Rams ranked among the league’s worst teams statistically on offense and defense a year ago when they went 1-15.
So far in 2010, both are dramatically improved for a team that is now 3-3 after Sunday’s win over the Chargers. The Rams sacked San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers seven times on Sunday and is tied for sixth in the NFL with 17 through six games.
Offensively, the Rams are improved behind rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick. And Steven Jackson has rushed for 507 yards and two touchdowns so far.
Next up for the Rams is a game at Tampa Bay this weekend.
