PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Eagles coach Andy Reid says it will be a “real stretch” for receiver DeSean Jackson to play Sunday against Tennessee after suffering a concussion.
Jackson was injured in a nasty head-on collision with Atlanta cornerback Dunta Robinson. Jackson had soreness in his neck and shoulders on Monday. Typical for concussions, Reid says Jackson did not remember the hit that knocked him out.
Reid also says Kevin Kolb will likely start at quarterback against the Titans. Michael Vick was the third QB in Philadelphia’s 31-17 victory over the Falcons and still hasn’t fully recovered from injured rib cartilage that he sustained two weeks ago.
Reid didn’t totally rule out Vick. He just says “there’s a pretty good chance” Kolb will get his third straight start.
