CINCINNATI (AP) – Chad Ochocinco tried to get Terrell Owens to play some one-on-one basketball after practice. Apparently, he wasn’t in the mood.
The Bengals returned from their bye on Monday with a lot to do other than shoot baskets. They’ve got to do something about a defensive line now missing Antwan Odom, suspended for four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
They’ve also got to get their passing game together. Owens was fined $5,000 last week for breaking the league’s ban on using social media before games. He and Ochocinco haven’t met their own expectations in a 2-3 season, and the frustration is showing.
Cincinnati plays at 4-2 Atlanta next Sunday.
