EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards has left the game against the New York Jets early in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury following a sack.
On third-and-2 from the Bills 43, Edwards was taken down by David Harris and Calvin Pace and remained on the turf for a few moments. He gingerly got up and slowly walked to the sideline with trainers. Edwards sat on the bench with his helmet on as the trainers spoke with him for several minutes.
He was eventually taken to the locker room and Ryan Fitzpatrick replaced him on the Bills’ next possession.
