CINCINNATI (AP) -The Cincinnati Bengals signed tight end Nate Lawrie and cornerback Geoffrey Pope, and placed safety Herana-Daze Jones and center Kyle Cook on injury reserved on Friday.
Lawrie played in three games for the Bengals last season. Pope spent the 2007 season on the Giants’ practice squad, and played against his former team in the Bengals’ third game this season.
Jones led the Bengals in special teams tackles in 2006 and 2007, but injured a hamstring last week in a loss to the New York Jets. Cook had played in the past five games, mostly on special teams, but aggravated a dislocated toe.
Quarterback Jeff Rowe, who was on the Bengals’ roster last season but was waived Aug. 30, was signed to the practice squad.
