GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Arizona starting quarterback Kurt Warner sprained his left elbow in the first quarter against Carolina on Sunday, and his return was questionable. Warner made his first start in place of Matt Leinart, who is out for the season with a broken collarbone. Warner got hurt on a sack by Carolina defensive end Julius Peppers midway through the first quarter. Warner fumbled on the play, and Peppers recovered. Tim Rattay, signed last week as Arizona's only backup, replaced Warner. |
