EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – Brett Favre is starting for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, as expected, after being listed as probable for the game against the New York Jets with tendinitis in his throwing elbow.
Favre, who turned 41 on Sunday, had an MRI last week that revealed mild inflammation.
Wide receiver Randy Moss, acquired last Wednesday, is also starting for Minnesota.
Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis returned after being sidelined since straining his left hamstring in the first half of New York’s 28-14 win over New England in Week 2. Outside linebacker Calvin Pace is playing for the first time after breaking his right foot in the preseason.
Wide receiver Santonio Holmes is also making his regular-season debut for the Jets.
