BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Browns coach Eric Mangini says quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are both “hurting” and it’s possible rookie Colt McCoy could make his first NFL start against Pittsburgh.
Delhomme, who missed Cleveland’s previous three games with a high ankle sprain, had to play Sunday after Wallace injured his ankle when he was sacked by John Abraham in the first half of the Browns’ 20-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Mangini would not give any specifics on the injuries to either Delhomme or Wallace.
McCoy has not played this season, but Mangini indicated he is an option for Sunday’s game against the Steelers. Mangini also said general manager Tom Heckert would look at his list of quarterbacks to sign.
Mangini said there were “a lot of moving parts” with Cleveland’s quarterback situation.
