FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -The New England Patriots signed rookie running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday and released wide receiver Maurice Price.
Terms of the agreement with the 23-year-old Green-Ellis were not disclosed.
The Patriots signed Green-Ellis as an undrafted free agent on May 2 and released the 5-foot-11, 215-pound back on Aug. 30. He was signed to the practice squad the next day.
The 23-year-old Price signed as a free agent on Sept. 24. He was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent out of Charleston Southern in May 2007 and missed his entire rookie season because of a clavicle injury.
