 FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -The New England Patriots re-signed tight end Marcellus Rivers and released linebacker Chad Brown on Wednesday.
Rivers, 28, had been signed and released three times by the Patriots since August. He has played in 75 games, with 13 starts, over five seasons with the New York Giants and Houston Texans.
Brown, 36, played one game for New England this season. He also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks over 15 seasons.
