ST. LOUIS (AP) -The St. Louis Rams released Eddie Kennison, then had to re-sign him after getting an unfavorable medical report on another wide receiver.
Dane Looker had a concussion against the Bills on Sept. 28, and may be cleared to play this week. But the Rams didn't want to be caught short and re-signed Kennison before he left town. Kennison was on the practice field Wednesday.
The Rams also had anticipated elevating another wide receiver, Derek Stanley, from the practice squad. Looker's situation may delay that.
Kennison was signed Sept. 9 after Drew Bennett was sidelined with a broken foot in the opener. He has played sparingly in two games, with no catches.
