CINCINNATI (AP) -When the pressure is on, Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer looks like the NFL’s comeback player of the year.
Palmer has led the Bengals on four scoring drives at the end of the fourth quarter or overtime this season, the main reason they are 3-1 heading into a game in Baltimore (3-1) that will decide first place in the AFC North.
After missing a dozen games last season with an injured elbow, Palmer is back in form.
During those last-minute drives, Palmer has a stellar passer rating of 109.7. The rest of the time, his rating is a below-average 66.3. Palmer says he likes being in those pressure situations.
