PITTSBURGH (AP) -Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is expected to practice on a limited basis Wednesday for the first time since tearing the medial collateral ligament in his left knee Sept. 10 against Tennessee.
Polamalu, a five-time Pro Bowl player, will wear a brace on the knee if he practices. His status for Sunday’s game at Detroit has not yet been determined.
Polamalu did some straight-line running last week, according to coach Mike Tomlin, but must show in practice he can change direction without problem.
Running back Willie Parker (toe), who sat out Sunday’s game against San Diego, may be limited early in the practice week.
