GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Green Bay Packers rookie safety Morgan Burnett will miss the rest of the season after injuring his knee in Sunday’s victory over the Detroit Lions.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Burnett tore his anterior cruciate ligament during Sunday’s game, although it wasn’t clear what play the injury happened on. McCarthy says the team has not yet decided who will take Burnett’s place in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game at Washington.
Burnett, a third-round pick out of Georgia Tech, started the Packers’ first four games of the season.
