CINCINNATI (AP) – The Bengals are in position to get better in the one area where they’re lacking on offense.
Receiver Marvin Jones is back this week as the Bengals (3-0) get ready to play at New England (2-2) on Sunday night. Jones is one of Cincinnati’s best options close to the goal line. He had 10 touchdown catches last season, becoming one of Andy Dalton’s favorite targets with his ability to make tough catches and out-jump defenders.
The Bengals have struggled to finish drives during their three games, sending Mike Nugent out for 11 field goal attempts. Jones makes them more dangerous when they’re close to the goal line.
Middle linebacker Vontaze Burfict is expected back from his second concussion of the season.
