CINCINNATI (AP) -Bengals starting linebacker Rey Maualuga (mah-uh-LOO’-guh) had to miss practice because of a sprained left knee.
The rookie hurt his knee during the second half of a 23-20 win over Pittsburgh. He walked with a pronounced limp on Wednesday that prevented him from practicing. It’s unclear whether he’ll be able to move well enough to play in Cleveland.
“It’s a little stiff, a little swollen,” he said.
Running back Cedric Benson (knee), defensive tackle Tank Johnson (foot) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (foot) also sat out Cincinnati’s practice, but were expected to return on at least a limited basis Thursday.
