RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Brandon Stokley doesn’t know many of the faces, but he does know all of Seattle’s offense.
The Seahawks’ new wide receiver went through his first practice on Wednesday. He was signed on Tuesday and was a player that coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks were watching for quite some time.
Stokley just had to get healthy first. Stokley was cut from Denver during training camp after struggling with a groin injury.
But Stokley knows Seattle’s offense, having spent time with offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates when the pair were with the Broncos. Stokley had 49 catches two seasons ago in Denver when Bates was on the Broncos offensive staff – the second-highest total of Stokley’s career.
