ST. LOUIS (AP) – Rams running back Steven Jackson reported on his Twitter feed that his groin strain was feeling better after acupuncture treatment, but he’s not yet ready to practice.
The two-time Pro Bowler was relegated to off-field exercises Wednesday. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Jackson would be day to day and that the team would not try to push it.
Chauncey Robinson, signed off the Jets’ practice squad Tuesday night, could be pressed into duty this week against the Seattle Seahawks. But Spagnuolo said it was more likely that Washington would help first on special teams where the Rams (1-2) have been hit hard by injuries.
If Jackson can’t go, unsung Kenneth Darby would likely get his first NFL start. Darby has been an infrequent contributor since signing with the Rams in 2008.
