OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) – The Baltimore Ravens have waived defensive end Trevor Pryce, though coach John Harabugh says it’s likely the team will soon re-sign the 14-year veteran.
The roster move makes room for safety Ken Hamlin, who was released by Baltimore last week. Hamlin will probably contribute on special teams in this Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pryce ranks third in sacks among active players but has only one tackle this season. The 35-year-old has not started any of Baltimore’s three games.
Harbaugh said Wednesday there’s a “high possibility” that Pryce will return, perhaps as soon as next week.
Harbaugh says the move was made because of “a numbers situation.”
