SAN DIEGO (AP) -Coach Norv Turner thinks the San Diego Chargers can fix their inability to score touchdowns once they’ve moved the ball inside their opponents’ 20-yard line.
The Chargers scored just one touchdown on six trips inside the red zone in their 23-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. A week earlier, they were 0-for-5 in a 21-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Nate Kaeding is getting a lot more work than the Chargers would like. He kicked four field goals against the Ravens and three more against the Dolphins.
Turner said quarterback Philip Rivers is OK after taking some hard shots. Rivers scored San Diego’s only offensive touchdown on a 5-yard run.
