EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – New York Giants tackle Kareem McKenzie has apologized for two personal foul penalties he committed Sunday that got him benched.
McKenzie was taken out by coach Tom Coughlin after the second penalty. McKenzie didn’t offer any excuses for being flagged for both 15-yarders in the 29-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Coughlin says he is not planning any changes to his starting offensive line, adding “Kareem is a very sincere and intelligent young man. He recognizes the errors of his ways. He flat out got too upset and lost his poise. You can’t get to that point. He knows he hurt us.”
The Giants have lost two straight after an opening victory.
