KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – The unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs seem eager to remain that way.
Just minutes after Sunday’s 31-10 rout of the favored San Francisco 49ers, many Chiefs players were talking about using their bye week for something besides fishing trips and vacations.
Instead, they were looking ahead to getting ready for their next game at Indianapolis on Oct. 10.
The Chiefs went to 3-0 for the first time since 2003 by playing their best game in many years. Todd Haley agreed it was by far the best they had played since he became head coach in 2009.
Cornerback Brandon Flowers, who has made key interceptions two weeks in a row, says he looks forward to getting extra time to study film of the Colts’ high-powered offense.
