BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Browns coach Rob Chudzinski says he has not yet decided if quarterback Brian Hoyer will make his second start this week against Cincinnati.
Hoyer threw three touchdown passes Sunday as the Browns (1-2) stunned the Minnesota Vikings (0-3). The shocking win capped a tumultuous week for the Browns as Chudzinski picked Hoyer to start for an injured Brandon Weeden and the team traded start running back Trent Richardson to Indianapolis.
Chudzinski says he wants to “get more information” before he decides whether to stick with Hoyer or go back to Weeden, who sprained his right thumb in Week 2 against Baltimore. Chudzinski said Weeden has not yet thrown the ball since getting hurt.
Chudzinski also shot down trade rumors involving wide receiver Josh Gordon, who returned from a two-game suspension and caught 10 passes for 146 yards against the Vikings.
