BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Browns punter Spencer Lanning may not attempt another pass in his NFL career. He made the most of his first one.
Cleveland's holder on field-goal attempts, Lanning lofted an 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jordan Cameron in Sunday's 31-27 win over Minnesota. The Vikings fell for the trick play when they left Cameron uncovered near the sideline. Cameron said it felt like Lanning's pass was in the air ``for like 30 seconds.''
Lanning said the only training he's had at quarterback is ``throwing a ball with my dad out in the yard.''
He received some good-natured ribbing from friends ``texting me saying I threw it like a girl. No offense to all the women out there.''
Lanning is the first player since 1968 to punt, kick an extra point and throw a TD pass in the same game.
