CHICAGO (AP) -Chicago Bears Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerback Nathan Vasher left with groin injuries, while an ankle injury knocked offensive lineman Ruben Brown out of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Bears had already lost Briggs and Vasher when Brown, a nine-time Pro Bowl pick, got hurt in the fourth quarter.
Briggs appeared to injure himself midway through the second quarter, when Brian Urlacher sacked Tony Romo. Briggs, who was trying to avoid Urlacher, stayed in the game but did not come out for the second half.
Vasher, a Pro Bowl pick in 2005, walked off the field midway through the third quarter after being injured away from the ball.
The injuries are the latest blows to a team that lost former Pro Bowl safety Mike Brown and starting defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek to season-ending knee injuries in the opener at San Diego.
A two-time Pro Bowl pick, Briggs had threatened a prolonged holdout after the Bears slapped the franchise player tag on him. He reported to training camp in late July, ending one drama. But Briggs was at the center of another one when he crashed his Lamborghini in the middle of the night and abandoned the vehicle late last month.
On the field, things were going better for him. Briggs forced a fumble and had a sack in last week's 20-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
