ATLANTA (AP) -Brodie Croyle was inactive as expected on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs made Tyler Thigpen their third starting quarterback in three games.
Croyle is expected to miss at least one more week with a separated shoulder sustained in the season opener.
Thigpen was 14-for-33 after coming in during a 23-8 loss to Oakland last week and will start ahead of veteran Damon Huard. Coach Herm Edwards said he would not hesitate to use Huard if Thigpen struggles in his first start.
The Chiefs also made cornerback Patrick Surtain (shoulder) as inactive.
There were no surprises among the Falcons’ inactives, which included backup offensive linemen Alex Stepanovich and Quinn Ojinnaka.
