LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -The Chicago Bears re-signed punter Dirk Johnson and released cornerback Ade Jimoh, again, on Friday.
The Bears signed Johnson before last week’s game against Kansas City because Brad Maynard was out with a groin injury, and he averaged 49.8 yards on four attempts before getting hurt in the second half. He was released Wednesday.
Chicago initially signed Jimoh on Sept. 11, cut him before the Kansas City game and signed him again Wednesday. He had 65 special teams tackles and 28 on defense over four seasons with the Washington Redskins.
