FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis says an MRI exam has revealed that he has a strained left hamstring, but will not rule himself out of New York’s game at Miami on Sunday night.
Revis says Monday that the hamstring feels tight, and won’t play until he feels 100 percent healthy. Coach Rex Ryan says the Jets want to be smart and not risk further injury.
Revis, who was limited in practice last week with tightness in the hamstring, immediately grabbed at his leg after Randy Moss made a spectacular one-handed, 34-yard touchdown grab with 53 seconds left in the first half of New York’s 28-14 win over New England.
If Revis can’t play Sunday, Antonio Cromartie would likely draw the assignment of covering Brandon Marshall.
