LANDOVER, Md. (AP) – Redskins starting left tackle Trent Williams will have an MRI exam after injuring his left knee and a toe late in regulation of Washington’s 30-27 overtime loss to the Houston Texans.
The fourth overall pick in this year’s draft said he felt pain after another player landed on his leg with about 1 1/2 minutes left in the fourth quarter Sunday. He was helped off the field and did not return to the game.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said he won’t know the extent of Williams’ injury until after medical tests.
Williams said after the game his leg felt sore.
Washington safety LaRon Landry bruised his left wrist in the game. He called it “nothing major.”
