ATLANTA (AP) – The Atlanta Falcons are down to one healthy running back after Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood left Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals with injuries.
Turner had nine carries for 75 yards before suffering a groin injury. The team said his status is questionable.
Norwood, Turner’s top backup, returned the opening kickoff 34 yards and later was carted off the field with a knee injury. Norwood also is listed as questionable.
Trainers were working with Turner on the sideline in the second quarter as Jason Snelling had a 19-yard scoring catch and a 1-yard touchdown run.
Backup running back Antone Smith is on the inactive list.
