BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Jerome Harrison didn’t get 286 tattooed anywhere on his body or change his license plate number during the offseason. He insists 286 doesn’t hold any special significance.
The Chiefs can’t forget it.
Harrison shredded Kansas City’s defense for 286 yards last December, the third-highest single-game total in NFL history. Harrison’s breakout performance shocked the Chiefs – and the Browns, who had been mostly using the 5-foot-9, 205-pounder as a third-down specialist.
Harrison will get another chance to run around and through the Chiefs, who will visit the Browns on Sunday.
Kansas City coach Todd Haley said the Chiefs will have a No. 35 – Harrison’s jersey number – on the field this week in practice as a reminder of his milestone game.
