FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -The Atlanta Falcons waived second-year tight end Martrez Milner on Tuesday.
Milner, a fourth-round draft pick from Georgia in 2007, had been on the inactive list for the team’s first two games.
Milner caught nine passes for 50 yards in eight games last season. He suffered an ankle injury that caused him to be placed on injured reserve on Nov. 13.
Team spokesman Reggie Roberts said the Falcons may replace Milner on the roster as early as Wednesday.
