GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -A year ago, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was doing the best he could to distance himself from the Brett Favre saga and keep his mind on modest goals: starting all 16 games and gaining the confidence of his teammates.
Now he’s being asked what it’s like to be a potential league MVP candidate.
Rodgers is earning rave reviews heading into Sunday night’s game against Chicago at Lambeau Field.
He’s trying to stay on an even keel amid the excitement of the opener and the disappointment over the team’s decision to cut one of his closest friends, wide receiver Ruvell Martin, and trade another, offensive lineman Tony Moll.
