METAIRIE, La. (AP) -The New Orleans Saints have signed rookie linebacker Stanley Arnoux to a four-year contract and placed him on injured reserve. He will miss the 2009 season.
Drafted in the fourth round out of Wake Forest, the 6-foot, 232-pound Arnoux tore his left Achilles’ tendon during his first practice of rookie camp in May and has been unable to practice since.
Financial terms of his new contract were not released.
During his college career, Arnoux started 42 of 51 games for the Demon Deacons. He was credited with 245 tackles, five sacks, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
