EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings have signed quarterback John David Booty and seven others to the practice squad.
The Vikings announced the practice squad on Sunday. The others are running back Ian Johnson, tight end Garrett Mills, offensive tackles Chris Clark and Drew Radovich, receiver Nick Moore, defensive tackle Tremaine Johnson and safety Colt Anderson.
Booty was the team’s third-string quarterback last season. But he lost out on a spot on the active roster when the Vikings signed Brett Favre to be the starter. Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels will be the backups.
The Vikings also announced they have waived center Jon Cooper, an undrafted rookie. They signed Kory Lichtensteiger to take his place.
