BEREA, Ohio (AP) -The Cleveland Browns have placed offensive lineman Ryan Tucker on injured reserve.
Contrary to a report that Tucker was released, coach Eric Mangini said Tuesday that the 12-year veteran was placed on IR.
Mangini would not confirm reports that Tucker, who hasn’t played a full season with Cleveland because of injuries and a four-game league suspension for performance-enhancing substances, had knee surgery last week. Mangini also did not know if Tucker plans to retire.
Mangini said the team may be working on an injury settlement with Tucker.
Tucker signed with the Browns as a free agent in 2002 after five seasons with St. Louis.
