BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Browns coach Eric Mangini is still pondering his starting quarterback.
Mangini said Monday that he has not yet decided whether Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson will start Cleveland’s Sept. 13 opener against Minnesota. Mangini praised both players for their performances in Saturday night’s win over Tennessee, but insists he will go “through the whole process” before choosing his No. 1 QB.
Quinn threw Cleveland’s first touchdown pass of the exhibition season in the 23-17 win over the Titans. Quinn started and went 11 of 15 for 128 yards and hooked up with Braylon Edwards on a 20-yard scoring pass in the third quarter. Anderson was 7 of 11 for 77 yards.
Mangini didn’t reveal his quarterback rotation in Thursday’s final preseason game at Chicago.
