CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Panthers are looking to get healthy and correct several problems with the regular season approaching.
The Panthers’ uninspiring preseason continued Saturday night with a 17-13 loss to Baltimore. While the run defense improved from the previous two weeks, the Ravens passed at will behind Joe Flacco.
The Panthers struggled to tackle as they fell to 0-3. It didn’t help that they were without injured defensive starters Jon Beason, Thomas Davis and Charles Godfrey.
Coach John Fox called the pass defense “shoddy at times.” The Panthers have just one more practice game, Thursday against Pittsburgh, to shore up those concerns.
