CINCINNATI (AP) -The Cincinnati Bengals signed kicker Aaron Elling as a temporary replacement for Shayne Graham on Wednesday.
Graham bruised his hip while trying to make a tackle on a kickoff return in Monday's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons. Elling, waived by Jacksonville on Monday, likely will kick in the final preseason game Friday night against Indianapolis.
Elling also has kicked for Minnesota, Tennessee and Baltimore. He has made 19 of 28 field goals in 33 games. In his best season, he made 18 of 25 field goals and all 48 extra points for Minnesota in 2003.
Jacksonville signed him this month after he was released by Atlanta.
