TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -The Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed linebacker Leon Joe off waivers from the Chicago Bears and placed a pair of reserves - guard Jeb Terry and tight end Matt Herian - on injured reserve Tuesday. The team also released punter Sean Douglas to meet the NFL-mandated deadline to trim rosters to 75 players. Joe was a fourth-round draft pick in 2004 and appeared in 28 games for the Bears and Arizona Cardinals over the past three seasons. Terry, a fourth-year pro who started one game last season, injured an ankle during a preseason loss at Jacksonville two weeks ago. Herian, sidelined by a calf injury, played in one preseason game. |
