OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -Injuries have sidelined Baltimore Ravens tight end L.J. Smith and defensive tackle Kelly Gregg.
Smith could be sidelined the rest of the preseason with a pulled hamstring and Gregg will miss Saturday’s game against Carolina with a shoulder injury.
Smith hurt his leg in Monday’s 24-23 win against the New York Jets. The team hopes to have him back for the exhibition finale against Atlanta on Sept. 3, although coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Smith might not be available until the season opener against Kansas City.
Gregg was also injured against the Jets. He had an MRI on Tuesday that revealed no damage, but it’s possible Gregg will miss the final two preseason games as a precaution, Harbaugh said.
